LEWD and LASCIVIOUS   by Michael McKeever

August 15 - September 13, 2009     World Premiere

Commissioned by GableStage, this new play by South Florida's award-winning playwright explores the life of Newton Arvin, real-life author and respected professor at Smith College. Investigations into homosexual images received by Arvin in the mail led to his arrest in 1960 by Massachusetts State Police. When two close friends and colleagues become embroiled in the scandal, Arvin is forced to decide whether to give them up in exchange for leniency in sentencing.
